A name or location entered into a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that feature. The provider processes the request and supplies its results. We do not keep or log those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email sent to us is retained as needed to prepare a response. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers receive certain technical details when a visitor loads a page:

The site identifies where Scott County records may be requested from the sheriff, criminal courts, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, and Tennessee Sex Offender Registry. It is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Visitor information is not compiled into a consumer report or a record about another person.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Information entered there is processed under the selected provider's privacy terms rather than this policy. Each provider decides how it retains or shares data. Review those terms before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links can lead to sheriff pages, court portals, Tennessee agencies, legal-aid resources, and outside search services. Once a visitor follows an external link, the destination's privacy policy controls. Review it before providing personal information.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and select targeted ads. We do not operate that tracking technology.

Code Ann. §§ 10-7-501 through 10-7-506. Tennessee criminal-history dissemination is separately governed by Tenn. Code Ann. § 38-6-120. Neither authority makes this private site the custodian of Scott County or TBI records. Subject to applicable law, you may:
